Contraindications and Precautions:
Vitamin C and Zinc are commonly taken together to boost the immune system. However, excessive intake of Vitamin C can cause diarrhea, nausea, and stomach cramps.
High doses of zinc can lead to a copper deficiency, suppress the immune system, and cause gastrointestinal issues.
It's important not to exceed the recommended daily allowances for both nutrients. People with hemochromatosis should be cautious as Vitamin C can increase iron absorption, which is not advisable in this condition.
